A little older a LITTLE wiser
This morning I woke up on a mission.
START A BLOG. INSPIRE. PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE!
Go figure, I started a blog four years ago and never followed up, or through with it. Since my last post (clears throat), four years ago (YIKES!) I have, had a baby, started a career, ended a career, and got a pregnant for a second time. I see that my life in four years has been melted down into one long run-on sentence, is life really that simple? Through a lot of trial and error I hope I will inspire some peeps with stories of my everyday life. Lets cook, lets work out and lets inspire each other to be the best versions of ourselves, for our kids, for our families and for ourselves!

Family Visits make us smile!

There is few things David and I enjoy more than a full house! David's brother Ryan came to visit us and we had a wonderful time! Mostly relaxing by the pool, but he also got to see quite a bit of Reno. We took Ryan a baseball game, downtown Reno, and tons of restaurants.... Dave and I are firm believers in over eating while on vacation. The day that Ryan flew out my Father flew in, so before Ryan left I took the boys to David's base to get a quick tour of the c-130 and explore the base. I think it brought my Dad back because the next few nights were all reminiscing about planes, flying, and the good ol' military days. The day after my Dad arrived my Mom came into town, what a breath of fresh air after all this military talk! Shop eat enjoy, that's our motto!! My Grandparents drove down from Sacramento, CA as well as one of my Mom's brother's for some much needed chinese food and quality time.
It's been about two and a half weeks now since our first visitor. My Mom is leaving tomorrow afternoon, and Dave and I will immediately be throwing ourselves into preparing for Jamaica and we only have 5 days to do it!
Hectic, chaotic, messy, crazy life...and we love every second!
See you after Jamaica!!

Golf!
Dave and I went to the Reno-Tahoe open last week and it was amazing! The Air National Guard had their own tent on the eighteenth hole! Free Michelob Ultra and Applebees= a great time! The golf Channel ended up filming from our tent and we got on T.V., yessssss!!! The only other time I have ever been on Television I was on the news for an overcrowded boat , ha.
The day after the open Dave had a three day trip. To ease my sadness I obviously went shopping and finished our entire guest room! We are getting ready for Dave's middle brother to come in town on the 22nd and then my Mom on the 28th. Yay for company!
XOXO

Ahh, the beginning...

I thought it would be appropriate for my first blog to explain how we got to where we are now!
David and I met when Mindy Staudacher and Richard Reed married in 2005. I was the maid of honor and Dave was the best man...Three years later Dave was moved to the armpit of Texas A.K.A. Del Rio. Being the nice Southern girl that I am I flew down to see him and 'show him the ropes' of the South. Two years later we said I do, bought a dog, a house and a whole lot of responsibility! Dave flies the c-130 out of Reno, if you don't know what kind of plane that is, it's the one that carries all the tanks and hummers and what nots to soldiers and bases all over the world, so if you see him thank him! I am living up the housewife role until the second week of Aug.... although I would do it for longer if I could!
In conclusion, thank you Mindy and Richard for falling in love, thanks for putting is in your wedding and thanks to the gaurd for sending your pilots to sucky places like Del Rio, Texas!
